Camino Salvado

In short: Camino Salvado: from Subiaco near Perth to New Norcia. Length: around 174 km, duration: 7 to 8 days. Best time: April to October.
Overview
The Camino Salvado, also called the Salvado Trail, is named after Dom Rosendo Salvado, a Spanish Benedictine who founded the monastery of New Norcia in Western Australia in 1846. It is still the country's only monastic town.
The route begins in Subiaco, a suburb of Perth, and runs through suburbs, forests and fields to the monastery in about a week. Organised groups usually walk it in seven or eight days.
It is too hot in summer, so the best time is between April and October. The infrastructure is much thinner than in Europe, and some sections call for camping gear or a pick-up by car.
