Camino Mozárabe

In short: Camino Mozárabe: from Almería to Mérida. Length: around 600 km from Almería, duration: about 4 weeks. Best time: Autumn to spring.
Overview
The Camino Mozárabe recalls the Christians who lived in Andalusia under Moorish rule. It begins in Almería, leads via Granada and Córdoba to Mérida and continues there on the Vía de la Plata.
The route links two of Andalusia's great cities and landscapes of olive trees and desert. It is lonely, the daily stages are often long, and some sections have few services.
In summer it is far too hot here. For winter and early spring, on the other hand, this route is one of the best options in Spain.
