Tro Breizh

In short: Tro Breizh: from your choice, usually Quimper to Circular route around Brittany. Length: around 1,500 km as today's circular route, duration: in sections. Best time: All year, best from May to September.
Overview
Tro Breizh means “Tour of Brittany” in Breton. The pilgrimage links the cathedral cities of the seven founding saints: Quimper, Saint-Pol-de-Léon, Tréguier, Saint-Brieuc, Saint-Malo, Dol-de-Bretagne and Vannes. In the Middle Ages every Breton was expected to walk the circuit once in a lifetime.
The historic route measured about 600 kilometres and took around a month. Today there is a newly laid out circular route of around 1,500 kilometres, and every summer an organised group pilgrimage walks part of it.
There is no fixed starting point. Most people walk it in sections, often over several years, and follow longer stretches along the coast. The weather stays changeable, so pack rain gear even in July.
