Camino Catalán

In short: Camino Catalán: from Montserrat Abbey to Pina de Ebro, with onward routes. Length: around 250 km to Pina de Ebro, duration: about 2 weeks. Best time: Spring and autumn.
Overview
The Camino Catalán is the obvious route for anyone starting in Barcelona. It begins at Montserrat Abbey and leads via Cervera and Lleida through the Los Monegros semi-desert into the Ebro valley.
From there you have several options, towards Logroño or north to the Camino Aragonés. The route shares several sections with the Camino Ignaciano.
The route is lonely and hot in summer. Cross Los Monegros with plenty of water, as there is hardly any shade between the villages.
