Jabikspaad

In short: Jabikspaad: from Sint Jacobiparochie to Hasselt. Length: around 150 km, duration: about 7 to 8 days. Best time: April to October.
Overview
The Jabikspaad starts in Sint Jacobiparochie, known in Friesland as Sint Jabik, near the Wadden coast. There is a pilgrim information centre there. The name of the route is Frisian and means Jacob's path.
The route runs via Leeuwarden, Franeker, Heerenveen and Steenwijk to Hasselt in Overijssel. You walk through flat pastureland and along canals, and there is hardly any climbing.
The Dutch routes meet in Hasselt, and from there you can carry on south. The wind here often comes from the side, so bring a good jacket.
