St Kevin's Way

In short: St Kevin's Way: from Hollywood to Glendalough. Length: around 30 km, duration: 1 to 2 days. Best time: Spring to autumn.
Overview
In the 6th century St Kevin founded the monastery of Glendalough in a valley of the Wicklow Mountains. The round tower and the ruins of several churches still stand there today.
St Kevin's Way follows his route from Hollywood over the Wicklow Gap into the valley. The route is short, but it crosses a mountain pass, and the weather can change quickly.
The path is easy to reach from Dublin, so it works well for a weekend. Glendalough has several places to stay, which you should book early in summer.
